2019 Bond Projects:

The Del Valle ISD Board of Trustees called a bond election to be held November 5, 2019. Voters passed the $284 million bond proposition for District-wide projects including the acquisition, construction, rennovation and equipment of school buildings, including athletic facilities and the purchase of school sites. 

Bond projects include:

  • Safety and security improvements
  • School construction
  • Student athletic programs facility upgrades
  • Student CTE programs facillity upgrades
  • Student furniture upgrades
  • Building upgrades and renovations
  • Land Purchases
  • Technology updates
  • Transportation bus replacements and rotations

Technology Updates

Technology upgrades include an increase or replacement of devices districtwide for students and teachers, wireless system upgrades, and infastructure upgrades.

Safety and Security

Provide safety and security improvements throughout the district, including adding a security vestibule to Del Valle High School.

School Construction

Build up to 3 new early childhood learning cetnersDemplition and rebuild of Hornsby-Dunlap Elementary School, Smith Elementary School and Del Valle Middle School.

Student Programs Facility Upgrades: Athletics

The Del Valle High School memorial stadium scoreboard will be replaced and the middle school competition fields and high school baseball and softball fields will be updated.

Student Programs Facility Upgrades: Career and Technical Education

Provide CTE Equipment for programs which prepare students for the workforce.

Student Programs Facility Upgrades: Furniture

The District will provide new furniture that supports instruction and learning that is comparable to the district’s newest campuses.

Building Upgrades & Renovations

Renovations include campus replacements and expansions, an administration building expansion and building a warehouse facillity for Maintenance and Construction and Planning.

Land Purchases

Funds for future land purhcases.

Transportation

Replace buses at the end of service life to support compliance with state standards.
